Get hands-on market experience before graduation with the TCU Educational Investment Fund (EIF). Selected graduate and undergraduate finance students manage a $1.75 million portfolio benefiting two organizations while responding to real market conditions.

Experience the risks and rewards investment professionals face every day. You’ll execute trades, present proposals, discover investment styles and learn the merits of sound asset diversification. You’ll make investment decisions.  

With this experience, graduates pursue careers in investment management and finance, joining a strong network of EIF alumni.  

 

The TCU Educational Investment Fund was established in 1973 by Alcon Laboratories co-founder William C. Conner, who selected two beneficiaries: TCU and Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology.

Students commit to two consecutive semesters: spring/summer, summer/fall or fall/spring. 

 Fall and Spring 
Tuesdays and Thursdays 
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. 

Summer (June–July) 
Tuesdays 
6:00 – 9:50 p.m. 

  • Applicants must be  TCU juniors or first-year MBA students enrolled in the TCU Neeley School of Business. 
  • Completion of FINA 30213 Investments is required. You may apply while enrolled in the class but must successfully complete the class before participating in the program.

 

How to Apply

  • Applications are reviewed twice a year in early fall and early spring. (EIF recruiting applications are currently closed for Fall 2027.)
  • Undergraduates: Apply during your junior year. If selected, you will participate during your senior year.  
  • MBA students: Apply during your first year. If selected, you will participate during your second year.  
  • Submit a résumé and unofficial TCU transcript with your application.  
  • Selected applicants will be invited to interview.
